Brian Platts

Brian Platts is founder of Nottingham Communications. He is also a Council Member for Gerson Lehrman Group, a network of academics, scientists, industry practitioners, and other professionals worldwide. Before founding Nottingham, Brian held management positions at British Telecom and Nortel Networks.

Regarded as an ICT industry authority, he has published a wide variety of reports covering the mobile and fixed wireless markets; fixed and mobile TV; Internet access; and mobile and fixed terminal devices and systems. Concurrently, Brian is conducting research on next generation wireless technologies, mobile TV and the convergence of the telecom and entertainment industries.

Brian graduated from Middlesex University, London (U.K.) as a Chartered Engineer and has a Professional Engineering designation from Camp One, University of Toronto. He has been quoted extensively in the media and has appeared on TV’s Report on Business. Brian is a signatory to the Official Secrets Acts of both Canada and the U.K. He lives in Toronto, Canada.

Cheryl Aston

Cheryl is a Senior Researcher for Nottingham Communications. She has more than twenty-five years of business and research experience with Fortune 500 companies, ranging from non-profits to technology sectors.

Cheryl has resided, worked and studied in the U.K. and the U.S. She is a signatory to the Official Secrets Acts of both Canada and the U.K., and a past nominee for an Award of Customer Excellence by The Metro Toronto Convention and Visitors Association. Over the years, Cheryl has been an active member of several global volunteer organizations.
